About Me |
My name is Debra Mercer, and I have lived in Dripping Springs for about 16 years. My wonderful husband and I moved here because we wanted our 4 children to attend school in Dripping Springs. As a result of this move, all of my children graduated from Dripping Springs High School. We feel they received a wonderful education! Both of my sons work in Austin, one of my daughters works in San Antonio, and her twin sister lives with her husband in Craig, Colorado where she is a nursing student. I also have a 2 year old granddaughter that I love to play with every chance I get.
I grew up in San Marcos where I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State). I have taught many different grades, classes, and ages, but I love teaching Kindergarten the best! We have a fantastic school, and I feel very blessed to be teaching with such a talented and great group of “life changers."
I believe that a child’s first experience with the school environment sets the tone for future learning. Kindergarten is the foundation for this future learning, and I love being a part of that. I want to make learning fun for my students so that they will desire to be life long learners!
I am looking forward to another wonderful year teaching the precious children of Dripping Springs!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Debra Mercer
